Sarkis Salamanyan is a graduate of the famed Tchaikovsky School of Music--a special school and conservatory for talented students in the former USSR. He later attended the Komitas Conservatory of Music where he earned a Masters Degree in Violin.

Shortly  after receiving his degree, Mr. Salamanyan joined the National Chamber Orchestra of Soloists and performed in chamber music concerts across the USSR, Spain, Germany, Bulgaria, and Hungary.

In 1993, he moved to the United States and embarked on a career as a successful violin teacher, whose many students have won regional, national, and international competitions.

He is also a member of the Lark Quartet in Los Angeles.
